Spinning Road Baptist Church
Sharing Christ with our Neighborhood and the World

There are many opportunities available for adults to grow in their faith and to build frindships with fellow believers. The Seekers Sunday School class specializes in topical studies alternating with books and video series. The Pursuers class uses a team-teaching approach with various Bible Study discussion guides. The Joy class follows a three-year expository Bible study.
There is an all-church pastor-led adult Bible study on Wednesday nights at 6:15 p.m.
Each Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., there is a Power in Prayer session where adults gather to pray for the needs of the church and the community.

Women
TheWomen's Bible Study, led by Carolyn Kirkwood, meets every Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. This year, the ladies will be studying the book of Esther. The group enjoys several social activities throughout the year, as well. Babysitting is provided.

Several small groups for women meet at various times throughout the week for Bible Study, fellowship, spiritual accountability, and prayer.

Every fall, there is a Women's Retreat held at the church. Outside speakers and music are brought in to challenge and encourage the women of the church. Catered food and child care make for a truly relaxing and uplifiting time for the ladies.

The women also have a softball team which plays on Tuesday nights in the summer.

Men
Various opportunites are available for the men of the church to grow and fellowship together in the Lord.

Each first Saturday of the month, the men gather for breakfast. The men do their own cooking and then stay for a time of devotions and prayer.

Each fall, the men have a Retreat at a nearby camping facility to enjoy God's creation and grow closer to Him through prayer, reflection and Bible Study.

There are small groups for the men, which meet at various days and times in the week. Spurred by the Promise Keepers movement, the small groups are designed to encourage accountability and commitment in the lives of Christian men.

During the summer, the men participate in a church softball league for men ages 16 and up.

S.A.S. stand for Seniors At Service. S.A.S. is a group of our older members which meets once a month for fellowship and planning. This group organizes various service projects and social activities for the rest of the church.
