The hiking trip to John Bryant State Park was a huge success! Cory taught us a new game where you put a big walking stick in the ground. Then everyone holds hands in a circle around the stick and tries to get someone to knock over the stick without letting go of each others hands. I played and it was a lot of fun. We hiked for a little over an hour and had a lot of fun, then after hiking we stopped at Wendy's and ate a little snack. Well everyone had fun except for Tom's allergys!

This is just t a heads up on an upcoming lesson that we are thrilled to be doing in the near future. We will be starting a lesson based on the book by Josh McDowell "More Than A Carpenter". If you are not familiar with this book or this author here is some basic info. Josh McDowell like many people has questions about life and thought they were simple. Questions like: Who am I ? Why am I here? and Where am I going? So he went in search of the answers, first in religon and good works and then in education. When those two things "didn't work" he moved on. As a sckeptic of Jesus Christ and His "claims" he was challenged to "make a rigorous, intellectual examination of the claims of Jesus Christ." During his examination he "intellectually" had to come to the conclusion that Jesus Christ is MORE than a carpenter! This is going to be a good lesson to get in on, so please come out and join us for a look at Jesus from the perspective of someone who set out to prove christians wrong.
