Sharing Christ with our Neighborhood and the World

AWANA International is a popular program designed to reach children and youth for Christ and train them to serve Him.

AWANA runs each Wednesday night of the school year from 6:05 until 7:30 p.m. AWANA clubs include the Puggles, for ages 2 and a half to 3, Cubbies for ages 3 and 4, Sparks for grades K-2, Truth and Training for grades 3-6, Trek for grades 7-8, and Journey for High School students.

We invite anyone from the Dayton community to join our AWANA program. There is a Bible Study for adults that also takes place during AWANA.

CLOSING CEREMONIES

Another year of AWANA will be ending Wednesday, May 9.  Clubbers will be recognized for their achievements throughout the year at our closing ceremonies.  There will not be regular Adult Bible Study that evening and we will all meet together with the AWANA Clubs in the sanctuary at 6:15 p.m.

Come celebrate another great year!

AWANA Minute

We began the month of April with the conclusion of the Easter season. This most important celebration of our Christian walks, the Easter season where our Christ Jesus died and rose again for the redemption of our sins. Many of our Cubbies, Sparks & TnT Clubbers had lots of fun attending the Easter party on Saturday April 7, hosted by the SAS (seniors at Service). They played games, listened to an important story delivered by Pastor Scott, and then outside to an egg hunt, then off to gather prizes, before heading home.

One Co-commander, one Leader, and one Clubber headed over to the Fairfield Commons Mall the morning of April 7 to participate in the 2nd annual Awana Open Grand Prix race held in the lower level of the mall at the entrance to Macys. We had fun racing with Clubbers, leaders, & parents from Clubs all over the Dayton area. Wednesday April 11 the Trek & Journey Clubs raced over to Rolandia for their quarterly outing, and had a great time playing games, earning tickets, and cashing in on their prizes.

Wednesday April 18, the TNT & Sparks Club found handbook time challenging as they participated in a scavenger hunt for the nights theme.

On Saturday April 21, many Clubbers gave up cartoons and came in to participate in Super Section Saturday, and worked hard finishing hard and long sections, challenges, and books. There were 100 sections completed by the 13 Clubbers that attended.

The last Awana store will open for this Club year on Wednesday May 2, where Clubbers will be able to empty their bank accounts of hard earned points and purchase cool items found on the store shelves.

We will host our closing Ceremonies Wednesday May 9 beginning at 6:15pm in the church sanctuary. We would like to invite ALL Parents, Clubbers, visitors, friends and the entire SRBC family to help us close out this Club year.

We would like to say a special GREAT BIG THANK-YOU to ALL of our Directors, Leaders, Secretaries, Listeners, leaders in training, helpers, Diane, our Church secretary, Chris, our custodian, and the kitchen staff for doing such a great and wonderful job in faithfully ministering to all of the kids of our Church and neighborhoods about the Word of God. All of your participation, service, support, and dedication really does help to make a difference in these kids’ lives.

A GREAT BIG THANK-YOU also goes out to Pastor Scott, Clubbers, parents, and all of you, the congregation members, who continue to actively support our programs faithfully with your thoughts, actions, donations, and most importantly, your prayers!

T H A N K – Y O U!!! Michelle and I really do Appreciate all of you and your dedication!
