Our Club News – January 2026
Volume 5, Issue 1- Things you will want to know about the happenings at SRBC’s AWANA ministry.
Approved Workmen are Not Ashamed – 2 Timothy 2:15
Join us for Awana Sunday on January 18 as we celebrate what God is doing through our Awana ministry and our kids’ love for His Word. Awana clubbers are encouraged to wear their Awana uniform to church and will receive store points as a thank-you for their faithfulness. We’re excited to worship together and celebrate the next generation growing strong in Christ.
Please have your child bring their Bible each week. Clubbers earn points by
ATTENDING club, Church, & Sunday School.
BRINGING Bible, Handbook, dues.
PARTICIPATING IN Games & Theme nights.
WEARING their uniform, & sneakers.
PASSING sections in my start booklet/finishing and sections in their handbook and completing them. They can spend the points they earn in the AWANA store. Please help them with verses at home. We work with them each week, but they need the extra help to succeed.
Parents, you can help make Scripture Memory Simple, Easy and FUN.
Here are some suggestions:
Make a fun tune or hand motions for the memory verses. Trace a verse in shaving cream. Make flash cards, with verses on one side and Scripture references on the other. Lots of colorful markers and paper can make the task a breeze. Ask your child to draw a picture of what the verse means alongside the verse.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THESE MEMBERS OF OUR AWANA FAMILY
May this month be filled with joy, love, and blessings for each of you! Have a blessed year!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated food to our pantry in October and November! Your kindness helped many families in our area have food on their tables. Let's keep spreading kindness and generosity!
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Winter’s here. Should schools cancel, the weather turns bad. PLEASE check email after 3 pm, call the office (937) 252-5311 and/or check Channel 2 or 7 for Church cancellations to find out if we’re still having Awana & Bible study. Please, if you feel conditions are unsafe, do not take any unnecessary chances. The safety of our clubbers and their families is our 1st priority!
We request that children be kept at home after experiencing or receiving treatment for
the following symptoms:
• Fever of 99.9 degrees or above. The child needs to be fever-free for 72 hours without medication.
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• New loss of taste or smell
To help us provide a healthy environment for our children and volunteers, we ask that you keep your child at home when any of the following symptoms have occurred within the last 24 hours:
• Illness that prevents your child from comfortably participating in program activities.
• Runny nose with colored discharge (green or yellow) accompanied by a fever.
• Vomiting and/or diarrhea; symptom free for 24 hours.
• Any communicable disease.
• Sore Throat.
• Streptococcal pharyngitis (“strep throat”) until 24 hours after treatment has
been initiated.
• Croup, excessive coughing, chest congestion or sneezing.
• Childhood diseases (chicken pox, mumps, etc.).
• Drainage or redness that could possibly be considered conjunctivitis (“pink eye”).
• Head lice or nits within the past 24 hours.
• Questionable Skin rash (that is contagious). Localized rashes such as prickly heat, eczema and diaper rash are not contagious.
If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should have received treatment for a minimum of 24 hours before attending Awana or any Children’s Ministry event.
We understand that, in some cases, illness may present itself suddenly. If a child shows signs of illness (above symptoms), a parent or guardian will be contacted immediately so that you may take your Child home to care for them. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING
As we look ahead to spring, we know the snow and muddy days are still
hanging around. Boots are great for getting here and going home, but we’d
love for clubbers to bring running shoes along so they can enjoy game time safely and fully. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe and having fun!
