Volume 1, Issue 1- Things you will want to know.
Welcome Awana families! We are so excited to welcome you to Awana club at SRBC and experience Awana with your family this club year! Please read the information in this newsletter, feel free to reach out if you have questions. We meet most Wednesday nights from 6:05 pm ~ 7:30 pm. Scheduled breaks are found in the club calendar; one should accompany this newsletter. If you need an additional one, ask at the registration table. You’re invited to join us each week for dinner before Awana. Dinner is served each week from 5:30 ~ 6 pm. There is a recommended donation of $2 per person.
Thank you for entrusting your children to us on Wednesday nights. We hope and pray that you will see
and experience God working through their lives. We are working to make this a great year for everyone!!
You can expect to receive a newsletter like this one every month on or around the 1st week of each month.
COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT!!
Be sure to regularly check your email for club updates, theme night reminders, and changes! You’ll also find out what's happening so your kids don't miss any of the fun! Should we need to cancel or close Club, this is how we’ll notify you.
While Awana is going on, we offer an awesome adult Bible study in the Sanctuary from
6:15 pm ~ 7:15 pm, feel free to check it out while your clubber is having fun during Awana.
AND WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from the Bible
passage, 2 Timothy 2:15.
HERE ARE SOME REMINDERS
AS WE START OFF THE 2024/25 CLUB YEAR
- Awana is held most Wednesdays, September through May, from 6:05 pm ~7:30 pm.
- A dinner is offered at 5:30 pm for $2, each week no need to cook, come and dine with us!
- Check-in begins at 5:50 pm and the opening ceremony begins at 6:05 pm for all clubbers and leaders.
- All clubbers are required to have a Signed Medical Release/Permission form on file.
- Please provide an email address on your clubber's registration form so you can receive email communication about theme nights, events, weather cancellations, etc.
- Arrive on time to Club, go to church & Sunday school, wear their uniform & gym shoes, bring their Bible & Awana handbook, memorize their verses, and bring a friend (optional), participate in all activities & theme nights.
- For safety, ALL clubbers are required to wear gym shoes to AWANA each week for game time. Thanks for your help!
- The above earns clubbers awards for their uniforms and points for the Awana Store. Please help them in these areas.
If your child is new in their club, they will complete an entrance booklet (is provided) to earn their uniform.
On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, we ask clubbers to Bring nickels & dimes for our AWANA Missionaries.
We’ll present the funds raised to them in March 2025 when they visit our Club. Shh, it’s a secret they don’t know we’re doing this for them; it will be a Great surprise! Thank-you!
*HINT: Clubbers check under the recliner and couch cushions they tend to hide a
lot of change.

Don’t have a church home? We welcome your family to worship with us. Sunday services are at 10:30 am & 7 pm. Children’s church for preschool thru 6th grade during the 10:30 am service. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m. We hope you will join us! We invite you to come as a visitor and leave as a friend.
Last Sunday, September 8th, was National Grandparents Day! If you didn’t get the chance to celebrate, it’s not too late. Take sometime this week to reach out to your child’s grandparents. A call, a special note, or even a little homemade gift can go a long way in making them feel loved and Special.
