March 2026
Quick. That is the word of the day. For some of us, it is the name of our lives.
Everything is quick. We speed while driving. We eat quick oats for breakfast.
We drink instant coffee. We hope the sermon is just a little shorter so we can hurry to lunch. We live life like a rock skipping across the surface of a pond; moving fast, touching lightly until one day the motion stops.
But something happens when we slow down on purpose and give time to the things that truly matter. We begin to breathe again. We find our souls settling. We discover a kind of peace that cannot be hurried along.
For me, slowing down often looks simple: a cup of fresh coffee and an open Bible with friends. There is something deeply good about going slowly through God’s Word, pondering, asking questions, and abiding in Christ.
Jesus Himself invites us into this kind of life when He says, “Abide in Me, and I
in you.” (John 15:4)
If you, like me, need to slow down this month, I invite you to join one of the small groups happening at our church or even to consider starting one yourself.
Later this month, we will be launching a men’s small group where we will walk through the Gospel of John one verse at a time.
We are still finalizing the time and location, but if you are interested in joining, please let me know.

Here at SRBC, we collect a Fellowship Offering on the 3rd Sunday of every month. This offering is used for emergency needs and financial assistance for those in need. This has been a great ministry of our church through the years, and we just want to remind you that we are continuing to collect this offering. We will focus on the offering on the 3rd Sunday, but you may give at any time.

We’re racing wooden derby cars AND Matchbox cars, it’s gonna be awesome! You can purchase a race kit for just $5 at the Wednesday night AWANA registration table.
Clubbers and grown-ups—yep, that means
YOU too—are invited to build a car and get
into the action!
We’ll be giving out prizes in two categories: Speed (fastest on the track!) and Design
(coolest ride around!).
We encourage you to please mark your calendars now and plan to attend!

AWANA MINUTE
As we welcome the arrival of Spring, we reflect on a February that was truly one for the books - cold, warm, icy, and snowy! Despite the unpredictable weather, our AWANA clubbers continued to grow in their knowledge and love for Jesus.
February 4: Souper Bowl Theme Night Clubbers brought non-perishable foods to help refill our Church's food pantry and wore their favorite sports gear for a fun-filled evening.
Glow Night (February 18): We had a blast playing glow-in-the-dark games in the Fellowship Hall. Shining our light for God.
Sparks Late Night Out Party (February 20): Our Sparks (grades K-2) enjoyed an evening of devotions, games, and activities tailored just for them.
Grand Prix Race (March 18, 6:05 pm): Join us as our clubbers race the cars they designed and built. We invite the congregation, families, and friends to cheer on our racers! If you can volunteer for setup or takedown, please contact Michelle or Tere.
We're grateful for our dedicated leaders who bring joy, enthusiasm, and love to our club each week. Your prayers and support mean the world to us. Thank you for valuing children and youth ministry!

The 2026 America for Christ Offering invites congregations to reflect on
