OUR CLUB NEWS - OCTOBER 2026
Volume 2, Issue 2- Things you will want to know
Hello Awana Clubbers and Families!
Welcome to October at Awana! Can you believe how quickly September flew by? October is here, and we are excited for another month of learning, laughing, playing, and growing together! The leaves may be changing color, the weather may be getting cooler, and pumpkin everything may be showing up everywhere—but one thing never changes: God loves you, and His Word is always true!
This month, we’ll keep discovering what it means to know God, follow Him, and let His Word guide our everyday lives.
Thank you to all of our parents, guardians, and volunteers who help make Awana a special part of our church ministry. Let's make and keep God First in Our Lives!
“Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11
This month, encourage your Clubber to practice this verse throughout the week. Hiding God's Word in our hearts helps us remember His truth wherever we go.
Shoebox season is here! Operation Christmas Child begins next Wednesday and continues through early November. Get your shoebox at club. Fill your shoebox and return it to Awana any Wednesday night in October or early November. Children around the world are waiting to hear the Good News about Jesus, and it starts with an OCC Shoebox. Shoeboxes will be available to grab in the back of the Sanctuary. This is an OPTIONAL event open to all clubbers, families, and leaders.
Please help your clubber remember these items before coming to Awana:
- Awana Handbook
- Bible
- 65-cent dues
- Completed handbook verses
- A Ready-to-Learn Attitude
DUES NOTE: Weekly dues are 65¢, with a $20 yearly payment option available. If dues are difficult right now, please reach out to the Co-Commanders. We want to make sure every child can participate!
Please make sure that clubbers wear sneakers for game time. Flip-flops, boots, and bare feet can make running difficult and increase the risk of injury. With cooler weather, the game floor can also be chilly! Help us keep our clubbers safe and ready to play!
Dear Lord, bless them with love, laughter, good health, and just the right number of birthday candles. Amen.

While Awana is going on, we offer an awesome adult Bible study in the Sanctuary from
6:15 pm – 7:15 pm. Feel free to check it out while your clubber is having fun during Awana.
Parents, you play a huge role in helping your Clubber grow! Here are a few ways to help your child make progress: Spend 5–10 minutes practicing handbook verses together. Encourage your child to explain what a verse means in their own words. Celebrate completed sections and small victories. Help kids memorize words. We want them to know God’s Word, understand its truth, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. And yes, a little cheering from Mom and Dad never hurts!
Don’t have a church home? We welcome you and your family to worship with us. Sunday services are at 10:30 am & 6 pm. Children’s Church for preschool through 4th grade during the 10:30 am service. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m. We hope you will join us!
