Last month I met with Pastor Scott, and he brought me a picture that used to hang in his office, which is now my office. In the picture, there is a pastor sitting and listening to Jesus, who he is in a meeting with. Now, as I sit at my desk and write, if I turn my head to the right,
can see this picture. And the question seems to arise: Am I being quiet enough to hear
God’s voice?
You see, in the busyness of our day we can find ourselves hopping from one thing to the next. Yet the most important thing is this: to sit and listen to our Jesus. Like the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42, where Martha is busy and distracted with much serving, while Mary sits at the feet of Jesus and listens to His word. And in that moment, Jesus says to Martha and it seems to me, “You are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed or indeed only one.”
To sit awhile with our Lord.

Here at SRBC, we collect a Fellowship Offering on the 3rd Sunday of every month. This offering is used for emergency needs and financial assistance for those in need. This has been a great ministry of our church through the years, and we just want to remind you that we are continuing to collect this offering. We will focus on the offering on the 3rd Sunday, but you may give at any time.
With the weather beginning to change and days & nights becoming warmer and longer. To ensure the safety of our children, please slow down and pay special attention when entering, moving about, and exiting our parking lot. Sunday & Wednesdays in particular, there are many children and youth moving about in the parking lot, and we want to make sure that we are driving with caution at all times. Thank you for being cautious in making sure all are safe.

Join us Wednesdays from 6:15 ~ 7:15 PM for summer programming! We're offering CKK for kids (Pre-K through 6th grade) and Youth Group for teens (7th-12th grade), featuring engaging lessons, fun games, and activities. This replaces our regular Awana program during the summer months. Come learn, grow, and have fun with us - we can't wait to worship together!

Our preschool is looking to hire a teacher for this fall. The position is part-time and would be for a class that meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 am ~12 pm. Please get in touch with Carol if interested at [email protected].

Through exciting Bible stories, upbeat music, games, crafts, snacks, and more, Kids Preschool (must have been 3 and potty trained by June 1, 2026) through just completed 6th Grade will discover how Jesus brings light into our world and what that truly means for their lives.
Each day shines a spotlight on a different truth about Jesus, helping kids grow in their faith, build friendships, and understand Him in a deeper way
