Things you will want to know about the happenings at SRBC’s AWANA ministry
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break and are ready to get back to club and studying God’s Word! Can you believe that 2023 is all done, and we are quickly moving into 2024?!?! Last year may have come and gone fast, but not without some great God-sightings and relationship-building. Wow, believe it or not, we are already halfway through this Awana club year. We are looking forward to the upcoming year and all that we will learn about God’s Word alongside your children. Let’s get fired up for 2024 and make it an awesome year! Thank you for recognizing the importance of Awana and having your children attend this ministry. Please continue to work with them each week on their memory verses so that they can learn God’s awesome word. Thank you for allowing us to teach your child about Jesus each week through songs, Bible verses, and games. They are such a blessing to us.
Please have your child bring their Bible each week. Clubbers earn points by:
- ATTENDING: club, Church, Sunday School.
- BRINGING: Bible, Handbook, dues, water bottle.
- PARTICIPATING IN: Games, & Theme nights.
- Each week WEARING: their uniform, & sneakers.
- PASSING: Sections in my start booklet/finishing it. And sections in my handbook and completing them.
Parents you can help make scripture memory simple, easy, and FUN Here are some suggestions:
- Make a fun tune or hand motions for the memory verses.
- Trace a verse in shaving cream.
- Make flashcards, with verses on one side and Scripture references on the other. Lots of colorful markers and paper can make the task a breeze.
- Ask your child to draw a picture of what the verse means alongside the verse.

WINTER CANCELLATION POLICY
FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Winter’s here. Should schools cancel, the weather turns bad, or COVID-19 prohibit us from safely gathering on a Wednesday, PLEASE check your email after 3 pm, call the office (937) 252-5311, and/or check Channel 2 or 7 for Church cancellations to find out if we’re still having Awana & Bible study. Please, if you feel conditions are unsafe do not take any unnecessary chances. The safety of our clubbers and their families is our 1st priority!
Thanks to all who donated food to our pantry in October & November! Because of your generous contributions, many families throughout the area were blessed.
THANK YOU!

To help us provide a healthy environment for our children and volunteers, we ask that you keep your child at home when any of the following symptoms have occurred within the last 24 hours:
• Illness that prevents your child from comfortably participating in program activities.
• Runny nose with colored discharge (green or yellow) accompanied by a fever.
• Vomiting and/or diarrhea; symptom free for 24 hours. THANK YOU!!

• Childhood diseases (chicken pox, mumps, etc.).

• Head lice or nits within the past 24 hours.

If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should have received treatment for a minimum of 24 hours before attending Awana or any Children’s Ministry event.
We understand that, in some cases, illnesses may present themselves suddenly. If a child shows signs of illness (above symptoms), a parent or guardian will be contacted immediately so that you may take your child home to care for them.
