Hello Awana Family,
We’re on target for a busy February, even though the weather is cold. (It is still winter after all. What was that ... you’re STILL praying for snow days off from school???) We also have a lot of fun club events and activities coming up; we hope that you and your clubber(s) will have fun participating with us in these events and activities.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
Awana is fun and we hate for clubbers to have to miss it, but we are also concerned for all who attend Awana. Therefore, we are asking that if your clubber is displaying signs of illness, please keep them home. With the flu being so prevalent, and being such a difficult strain, we want to limit its spread through the club and through our homes.

out party will be Friday, February 23, from 6 – 10 pm. Invite a friend, come out and join us for an evening of fun! We hope YOU can come out and play. Be watching for registration news! Sign-ups are required!
MESSY CHURCH ~ TUESDAY, February 13, 5:30 – 7 PM
Looking for a way to connect to God, not sure regular church will fit? Then join us at Messy Church.
Messy Church is a time to have fun, learn about god through crafts, games, singing, and stories and then have a meal together. Messy church is ideal for families, but is for anyone, whether you have never been to church before or have been many times. There’s no cost, no dress code and no age limit. We do ask that children be accompanied by an adult. Come check it out.
GRAND PRIX IS COMING!
START YOUR ENGINES! March 21, engines will be revving and spectators cheering at what’s sure to be the best race of the year! The AWANA GRAND PRIX Car kits are available for Clubbers from Sparks, TnT, Trek, Journey, and the open division to purchase for $5 tonight and each Wednesday night prior to the race from Miss Michelle. There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in two categories: SPEED & DESIGN. Pick up your car kit and get started creating it for the upcoming race!
*Puggles & Cubbies do not need to purchase car kits they will be racing special cars in their racing class.
**Parents can also create and race or show a car in the open division.
NICKELS AND DIMES
We have been collecting Nickels & Dimes in a special Awana Bank the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The money raised will be presented to our Awana Missionaries in March to help support the work they do to help reach kids with the gospel of Christ. Please encourage your clubber to bring in some change for the bank.

SOUP-ER BOWL NIGHT
Thank you to all who donated cans of soup and nonperishable items to our pantry for this theme night.
Great job! The soup will go a long way towards warming those who receive it this winter.
It is a small way of helping others, and perhaps make someone’s day a little bit more Super!
WINTER CANCELLATION POLICY FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHTS.
With winter here, should there be inclement weather on a club night, a decision about cancellation
will be made by 3pm. Please call the office (937) 252-5311, check your email after 3 pm and/or check
channel 2 or 7 for church cancellation notices to find out if we’re still having Awana and bible study.
Please if you feel conditions are unsafe do not take any unnecessary chances. The safety of our
Clubbers and their families is our 1st priority!
Please remember if you do not have a church home you are more than welcome to worship with us on Sunday mornings! We have Sunday school for all ages at 9:15 am., worship service at 10:30 am, and children’s church for preschool thru 5th grade during the 10:30 am service. A nursery is available during both hours. We hope you will join us! We invite you to come as a visitor and leave as a friend.
