Approved Workmen are Not Ashamed – 2 Timothy 2:15
Happy New Year Awana Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break! Welcome back to club! We hope you all are ready to get back to club and studying God’s Word!
We are SO excited to be starting 2021, a new year! We are looking forward to the upcoming year and all that we will learn about God’s Word alongside your children. Let’s get fired up for 2021 and all the things we have planned! Let’s make it an awesome year!
Each week your children attend Awana and hear the gospel message. Thank you for recognizing the importance of Awana and having your children attend this program. Please continue to work with them each week on their memory verses so that they can learn God’s awesome word.
What are points? Points are earned by clubbers and can be used to buy AWESOME stuff at the Awana store.
How do I earn my “Awana Points?”
Points are earned by:
- ATTENDING ~ Club, Church, Sunday School.
- BRINGING ~ Bible, handbook, dues, and water bottle.
- PARTICIPATING IN ~ Games, & theme nights.
- WEARING ~ My uniform, a mask, & sneakers.
We know that boots are necessary right now in the snow and muddy days that are coming. We encourage you to send running shoes for your clubber, so they are better able to play during game time.
- PASSING ~ Sections in my start booklet/finishing it.
Parents you can help MAKE SCRIPTURE MEMORY SIMPLE, EASY AND FUN here are some suggestions:
- Make a fun tune or hand motions for the memory verses.
- Trace a verse in shaving cream.
- Make flash cards, with verses on one-side and Scripture references on the other. Lots of colorful markers and paper can make the task a breeze.
- Ask your child to draw a picture of what the verse means alongside the verse.
