Oh yes! It’s time to begin thinking about the start of preschool. The floors have been stripped and waxed, new security film installed on the windows and new cabinets for the Early Beginners. The teachers will be returning August 27th to prepare their classrooms for the new school year which starts Tuesday, September 4th for students that attend a Tuesday class and Wednesday, September 5th for Monday/Wednesday/Friday students. We want to welcome two new members to our staff, Andria Misutka and Jessica Bleifield. Mrs. Misutka will be in the Middler class with Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Bleifield will be in the Early Beginners with Miss Schroder.
We also want to welcome back Mrs. Espinosa, who started with us in January of 2018. She worked
with Mrs. Butcher and Mrs. Bange in the Pre – K class and will be returning to be Mrs. Bange’s assistant. She is working on her teaching degree and we are pleased to have her back again this year.
Open House is Thursday August 30, 2018. Please come for a short visit anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 pm (So student’s may meet their teachers and see their classrooms.) This is also a good time for parents that haven’t decided on a preschool.
Parent Orientation is Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 6:00 pm ~ 8:00 p.m. Please do not bring children. (Their special time is in the morning at Open House) This is a time for parent’s to focus on school rules and ask questions. It is not necessary for both parents to attend this meeting, that way one parent can stay home and watch the children. You should bring the parent handbook that was in the registration packet, we will be referring to it during this time. The teachers will have hand outs and tote bags when the meeting moves to the individual classrooms, please be sure to get a tote for your child.
All health forms are due at Orientation. They must be filled in and signed by a physician with the examination date, physician’s address and phone number. These forms are required by the State Ohio Licensing and a child cannot begin the first day of school at Spin-Kemp without a Medical Statement in his or her file.
We have a young family that just moved to this country from India. They live near the Soin Medical Center and ther mother doesn’t drive. If anyone living in that vicinity or passing their area after school would like to lend a hand their lovely daughter could use a ride home on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. This would be a nice way to make them feel welcome. If you think you could possibly help, I’ll arrange a time for you to meet each other.
If you know anyone who is considering enrolling their child in our school, please encourage them to register as soon as possible. Registration form must be in before orientation in order to have a better chance to get the class of your first choice. Enrollment is open until we reach our enrollment mark: 8 for Early Beginners, 18 for Middlers, and 22 for Pre-Kindergarten. Pre-K is generally the first to close.
Your September tuition is due on or before August 5th. You may bring it by the office Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. School supply fee is to be paid after school begins.
Your children are very important to us and we take seriously the fact that you have entrusted them to us for this preschool experience.
