Parents’ Page – December 2017
For unto us a Child is born…… Isaiah 9:6
The Christmas season is upon us and the Staff and I wish you and your family a month full of wonder, joy and the spirituality that the miracle of our Savior’s birth brings.
We make every effort at preschool to convey the true spirit of Christmas to the students. You may see some evidence of Santa, for he is the symbol of the spirit of giving. You may hear some reindeer songs, but we will emphasize the celebration of Christ’s birth, for this is the real reason Christians celebrate!
Scholastic book orders are due Dec. 1st. This will allow them time to arrive before Christmas break. If you orders directly through the book club, please place your order on or before the Dec. 1st date. The points we earn with each book purchased allows us to get new books for the classrooms. Scholastic also has educational items, games, books with tapes and puzzles we can use the points on. Many of our puzzle and listening center books with tapes have come from Scholastic.
Books are excellent gifts for young readers or any reader for that matter. This is a wonderful way to promote literacy at home. I know many families use our public libraries which is great but for a child to have a favorite book they can have read over and over to them and not have to return it is special. I have many of the books my own children loved and will give them to my grandchildren as they become readers. Many are out of print now and it will be nice to pass them on.
If you have not turned in your fundraiser money, please do so in the next couple of weeks. I have placed an order for two new tables for the Middler class. All of our classrooms have needed new tables for a very long time. We have shuffled tables around and did as many repairs as possible on them but everything eventually wears out. With trying to keep our tuitions affordable, we just couldn't fit it into our yearly budgets. We have gotten close with other fundraisers but not quite made it. This year it has finally happened. It will be nice to see all our students using brand new tables for the first time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us achieve this goal.
Our Christmas Program is Monday, December 18th at 11:15 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Please enter through the double glass door by the Church Sanctuary.
HO! HO! HO!
HAPPY DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS
Aimee 12th, Grant 4th, Michael 5th , Norah 30th , Mrs. Karmele 25th, Baby Jesus,
Mrs. Bange 28th,
We have had some parents asking if it is too late to send their children 5 days for the rest of the year Beginning in January, any (Pre-K) parent interested in signing their child up for the 5 day program is welcome to do so. Some parents don’t always want to start 5 days at the beginning of the year but find their child has matured enough to try it in the second half of the term. This is especially helpful for students going on to kindergarten in the fall. It allows students to experience attending five days that can make the transition to elementary school a little easier. If you are interested, please speak to your teacher to see if it is a good idea for your child. The tuition for five days is $260 per month.
Christmas time is here and we will spend this month talking about
Jesus’ Birthday. This is such an exciting time of year for the students.
We will be learning about Letters J and K, the color green, the
number 4, as well as the beauty and wonder of this magical season.
We will incorporate traditional winter crafts along with
the “reason for the season” crafts.
Remember to mark your calendars for our Christmas Program
Monday, December 18th at 11:15 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Everyone is
welcome. We will also have our classroom Christmas party on December 18th
There will be a party sign-up sheet on our bulletin board in the classroom.
Christmas Break will start Wednesday, December 20th. Classes will resumes

May you and your family have a wonderful Christmas season filled
with the love of Jesus.
Many Holiday Blessings,

Merry Christmas! We wish all our students and their families
a Blessed Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season and we
will focus on all His Greatness. We are so grateful for Jesus in
our lives. We talk about how we see Jesus in our friends and
how to treat our friends as Jesus would treat them.
This is a short month with so much to pack into it. A review of
numbers 1-7 and our letters F, E, H, L, I, T, U, O, and C that
needs to be worked into our daily lesson plans Our projects will
reflect the Christmas season, along with books and songs.
We will have a Christmas Program on Monday, December 18th
this will be the Middlers last day of school before Christmas break.
Please arrive before 11:15 a.m. as our program will begin at 11:15.
Our students are young and they don’t like to wait. The students
will return to their classrooms after the program to remove their
choir collars and them dismissed to their parents.
Because some our students are here more than one year, we
like to vary the programs from year to year. This year the students
will sing Christmas Carols.
Have a Blessed Christmas,
Mrs. Karmele and Mrs. Wolodkiewicz
