From Your Administrator – Mia Lynch
We are off to a great start! The school is full of happy voices playing and learning together. The classroom activities and schedules are becoming familiar. We want to thank you for helping your child with this new routine. Your child’s teacher has carefully planned their class schedules so the children will have a wonderful preschool experience. We want to encourage prompt arrivals both in the morning and at pick-up. Students feel the most comfortable when they all arrive and leave at the same time. I also have other duties to attend too after the car drop-offs and pick-ups. I will leave the drop-off at 8:30 a.m. and you will have to bring your child in after that time and if you come after 12:00 p.m. you will have to come in and pick-up with a late charge.
This month will be filled with many new experiences for the students. As the colors of autumn makes their appearance. It will be time to go on neighborhood walks and to create things with their collections of leaves, nuts and twigs. Please make sure you have signed any necessary permissions slips.
We know children look forward to Halloween, the Church does not like for children to come to school in costumes, so to get around this and still have a fun time we have a Fall Celebration. We need volunteers to make this a success. Please let the Teachers know if you can help on Festival day.
It is important for parents to be involved as much as possible. A long standing tradition at Spin-Kemp is Women’s and Men’s Nights. This was designed so you can go to class with your child and get a glimpse of the routine, crafts, circle time and songs the children sing. The first of these two nights will be Oct. 19 for the mothers.
It can get quite confusing in the morning when teachers are talking to so many parents. It is difficult to remember important information they receive. If I might suggest, please give the teachers a note with
any you would like for them to know for the day so they can refer
back to it after the students have settled in.
It is time for our Elder Beerman booklet fundraiser. This helps us keep our tuitions low by not taking large ticket items out of our operating budget. A booklet costs $5.00 and we are asking each family to sale 4 booklets. The school gets to keep all the proceeds from the sell and the purchaser will find a $10.00 coupon in their booklet to use at Elder-Beerman’s in Nov. Each class is given an equal share of the profits and may choose something for their room or combined the money for something for the whole school.
HAPPY, HAPPY OCTOBER BIRTHDAY

EARLY BEGINNERS
Happy fall everyone! This is such a great time of year. We are always grateful for God’s handiwork as he turns summer into a cool, crisp, canvas of colors. We are looking forward to exploring the wonders of fall with the children!
We will be learning D,E,F, the color orange and the number 2. The first week will be dinosaur week, which the students love. We talk about fire and fire safety at the end of the month. We will also make seasonal crafts as well.
Our Annual Women’s Night will be Monday Oct. 16th at 6:30 p.m. You will be able to come to preschool and enjoy participating in some fun activities with your child. There will be NO morning classes on that day.
A month this special deserves a Fall Celebration. Our Fall Festival will be Monday, Oct. 30th. We will need volunteers to help with the games. Watch our bulletin board for further details.
Parents, please send only what your child will eat in at snack time about 10 minutes. We are not allowed to send open food home due to any virus we may be sending home.
Enjoy the Season

MIDDLERS
Happy Fall! Wow this is a wonderful season to celebrate. Please dress your child to match the weather of the day. We do enjoy playing outside in the fresh crisp air.
As we work our way through October the focus will be on the numbers 3, 4 & 5, the letters are H & L with a review of both. Our projects will reflect the awesome fall colors. Please check the tote bag for projects and important information as we pass it along to you. On a daily basis we are working with the children on recognizing and writing their name.
As we come to class everyday all year we will be sharing lessons from God on how to treat others with respect, kindness, caring and sharing our toys. We have ongoing discussions at circle time on how to help others, being self sufficient and classroom duties. The students are also encouraged each and every day when to listen, when it’s ok to talk and when follow directions.
This month is Fire Safety Month. We have asked WPAFB Fire Dept. to stop by and give us a lesson in fire safety. We will also talk
about fire safety this month in class.
A Fall Harvest Celebration is at the end of the month! Volunteers are needed to help with the games and face painting. Watch for a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.
Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns. We are here for students and parents. Learning is a partnership between parents and teachers.

The nights are chilly the days are cooler, it must be October. Make sure your child dresses for the changing weather as we explore the seasonal changes outside. We will be going on a fall walk later in the month to enjoy all the colors of the season.
The first month of school started off with a bang! Continue to bring your listening ears and your caring hearts to school daily. As we find new friends and adventures along the way.
October will bring our Fall Festival at the end of the month and Moms’ Night. More information will be in your child’s tote bag about what you can do to help.
If you are interested in our five day program, please be sure to let us know we still have openings in that class. This is a good way to ease your child into all day kindergarten next fall.
Enjoy the season of autumn and all God’s beauty it will bring.
Serving Him,
Mrs. Butcher and Mrs. Bange
