Parent Newsletter August 2019
Oh yes! It’s time to begin thinking about the start of preschool. The teachers will be returning August 26th to prepare for the new School year.
The new Year begins Tuesday, September 3rd for students attending a 4 or 5 day class and on Wednesday September 4th for students coming Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Our hours remain the same as last year even though some school districts have changed their hours.
Staff Changes
This past school term we had two Teachers move and we now have two new members on staff. We want to welcome Mrs. Lori Nowak who will be replacing Mrs. Bleifield in the Beginners and Mrs. Michelle Turner taking Mrs. Espinosa’s position in the Pre-K class. We were sad to see Mrs. Bleifield and Mrs. Espinosa go but their husbands are military and they got orders to move. We will miss them but are looking forward to getting to know Mrs. Nowak and Mrs. Turner.
Open House and Parent Orientation
It seems we are going through a lot of changes this year. We have decided to combined Open House and Parent Orientation. These two events will take place in the morning on Thursday, August 29th and last about one hour. This will give the students more time with their Teachers. We know it can be difficult for students to separate from their parents so we will open at 9:45 a.m. This will give parents time to visit with the Teachers before meeting with me at 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall so we can go over school information.
If you are alumni and have attended this orientation before, we will not be going over any information you have not already covered so you don’t have to attend unless you want to. If you are not planning on coming to Open House or Orientation, please let me know that your child is still coming to school this fall.
Health Forms
All health forms are due the first day of school. They must be filled in and signed by a physician with the examination date, physician’s address and phone number. These forms are required by the State of Ohio Licensing and a child cannot begin the first day of school at Spin-Kemp without a medical in his or her file. If your child has any special medical condition we need to be aware of, there might be additional paperwork for you to fill out. Please discuss this with the Teachers after orientation.
Registration
If you know anyone who is considering enrolling their child in our school please encourage them to register as soon as possible. Registration forms must be in before August 29 in order to have a better chance to get the class of your first choice. Enrollment is open until we reach our cut off mark:
8 for Early Beginners
18 for Middlers
22 for Pre-Kindergarten.
Tuition
Your September tuition is due on or before August 15th. You make bring it by the office Monday ~ Friday, 8:30 am ~ 12:00 pm.
School supply fee is be paid after school begins.
Regular tuition payments are due each month from the 1st ~ 5th.
After these dates it will be considered late and a penalty will be assessed.
Your children are very important to us and we take seriously the fact that you have entrusted them for this preschool experience. We want to make their time at Spin-Kemp positive, happy and secure. We are looking forward to seeing you and your child.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call the preschool office at 256-7304 or the church secretary at 252-5311. I prefer an email [email protected]
