Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things! Psalm 98
Yes, it’s March and that congers up St. Patrick, leprechauns, and wearing of the green. If you don’t know about the Irish flag, it’s green, white and orange: green (Catholics), white (peace) and orange (Protestants). Wearing of the green is for Saint Patrick a Catholic priest.
Isn’t it exciting that spring is just around the corner? Maybe it means the end of snowy weather and we won’t have to deal with anymore school closings or delays.
It’s difficult to believe we are looking at our last three months of school. I have so many mixed feelings about this time of year. It always pulls at my heart to see our pre-k students go off kindergarten. When I was teaching at Saint Rita, I got to see my former students as they transitioned from year to year and class to class here it seems so final. I guess I’m just an old softie.

March promises to be tons of fun with shamrocks and a leprechaun search so keep your eyes open to find the leprechaun! On Friday, March 16th wear your favorite green shirt and pack a green snack to enjoy
in class for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
We continue to work on the basics as we make our way through March. We do a lot of learning through play, games and crafts. Every day we talk at circle time on how to share, respect and treat others with kindness, how to listen, follow directions and helping others. We encourage you to spend some extra time working on cutting skills, recognizing letters of the alphabet and numbers. This will benefit them greatly for the Pre-k class next year.
Mark your calendar for Monday, March 19th for Men’s Night 6:30 pm – 8pm. Dads you are going to have a great time at school. We will not have a morning classes on that day.
