Can you believe its November already? Feels like we just started school and now we are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!
This month we celebrate all that we are thankful for. I am thankful for our amazing teachers. We are so lucky to have such wonderful ladies caring for our children. They create such a loving environment here at Spin-Kemp.
As we approach a time of thankfulness and giving, we have two projects that we would
love to support this season.
The teachers would like to see what class is able to collect and fill the most boxes. Here is a link of things that are accepted: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/ Please look out for more information from your teacher as far as what age and gender boxes they would like to fill. The class that fills the most boxes will get a cookie party! All donations for the boxes will need to be turned in by November 16th.
Please send your child in with a change of clothes that reflect our current season.
We continue you ask that you arrive on time.
If the classes have already gone to their classrooms and I am assisting elsewhere in the building, your child will not be permitted into the building. Fran the secretary is unable to assist the children to getting to their classrooms. Again, we are limiting contact due to COVID.
Tuition is due by November 5th. Make sure to bring cash to the office for a receipt. Checks can be placed in the payment envelopes and tucked into your childs bag. It is important that you bring your payment envelope when paying.
Supply fees are due. Please send that along with your payment this month if you haven’t already done so. The fee is $60 per child.
Find us on Facebook, Spin Kemp Christian Preschool.
This page has our little kid logo as the profile photo.
I’ll post our fundraising and other information there.
Did you know your child could get a free book every month until the age of 5? Here is the link to sign up. https://ohioimaginationlibrary.org/ My son Finn has been getting these books and loves when he gets mail.
Its free to enroll!
School closings: we are getting to the time of year when the weather might lead us to close.
Please make sure you have joined the remind app. It will also be posted on the local channels. Teachers will communicate to you as well if we are closing due to weather.
This year we will follow Beavercreek Schools. If Beavercreek schools are closed,
we are closed. If they are on a 2 hour delay, we will be on a 1 hour delay.
Thanksgiving: We will be closed the entire week of Thanksgiving this year ( November 23-27). We thought it best to get some extra cleaning done and air out the building. Classes will resume on Monday, November 30th.
We all pray that you have a relaxing and blessed Thanksgiving this year.
God Bless,
Carol Boersma, Preschool Director

Mrs. Kidd’s Early Beginners:
Dear parents, thank you for your patience during my absence.
My absence is due to my daughters online schooling. The results
of the preschool poll: We are continuing Monday-Wednesday- Friday. I will not be teaching Fridays for the months of November and December also due to my daughters online schooling.
So your child will have a substitute.
For the month of November we will continue through the alphabet. We are on letter C.
Thanksgiving break will be November 23rd-27th
With love, Mrs. Kidd
Hello again, For the month of November we will be going over the letters G, H, & I, the Number 3, and the color brown. I have started to introduce our Thanksgiving songs that we do when we usually have our Thanksgiving program, which we won’t be having, but I thought it would be fun to learn them anyway.
We will continue with our practicing writing and cutting with scissors and talking about the first Thanksgiving. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you and God Bless,
Miss. Schroder
Hi parents and caregivers,
We have been working on getting to know each other’s names and using them when we speak. We’ve been enjoying different letter and number games, and rhymes such as the “Silly Open Shut Them”. We have been sharing daily personal prayers at our end of day Prayer Circle. Huge thanks to Abby’s mom for sewing our prayer cloth. It is now finished with handprints so we can use it when we pray together.
In November, we will explore Thanksgiving, numbers up to 8, and the letters B, I, K and D. We will continue to work on things like tidying up after craft mess and putting our own belongings away. I absolutely love the way children in this class share, takes turns, and make peace with each other, without my help.
It’s beautiful to see.
Much Love,
Mrs Lewis
Happy Thanksgiving!! For the month of November, we will be talking a lot about giving thanks. It’ll be a short month with the week of thanksgiving off, but it will still be full of activities. We will be continuing to work on our letters and numbers with a splash of colors, shapes and our names thrown in. Please make sure you look at your child’s work each night so you can see how they are doing with their letters and numbers. We are still working on their first names and I will begin introducing their last names. I will also start to “quiz” them on when their birthday is. All of this information will be needed for their Kindergarten placements this winter/spring.
The beginning of November, you will see information about Operation Christmas Child in your child’s folder. I am really excited about this opportunity. Please read all the information and check Class Dojo for more details on what we will be doing with this awesome ministry.
With the temps consistently being colder, I will not be outside as long in the mornings. I will be heading into the building at 835am. Please be prompt for drop off. The cement is cold for the kids to sit on and I don’t want them outside for too long. If Mrs. Boersma is not in the office, your child can be denied at the door. Fran is the church secretary and does not do anything with the Preschool, including coming into our area of the church. She also can not physically come down to the classes.
Love,
Mrs. Nowak
