We hope everyone is settling into the new routines and adjusting to preschool life. October is one of my favorite months. I love the change in season and all the beautiful colors. God’s paintbrush is amazing this time of year.
Drop Off and Pick Up
We would like to offer our families the option of a drive thru drop off and pick up. This especially helps those families that have little ones. I know lugging those car seats up and down the stairs can be hard. If this is something you’d like to do, please let your teacher know.
We would like families to commit to the days their child is in the building. The drop off and pick up location is the glass doors.
Cash payments should be brought to the office, so that we can make change if needed and provide you with a receipt.
No School on Monday,
October 11th for
Columbus Day.
School photos are scheduled for October 18th. We plan to have every child photographed, even if you don’t plan to purchase. Please be on the lookout for the order form in the first few weeks of October.
This month we will welcome the children’s librarian from Dayton Metro Library to read to the children. His program is asking that if we have story time indoors that everyone in attendance wear a mask. So if you could send a mask in with your child on October 13th that would help us out. We are hoping for story time outdoors, which then we would not need masks.
Since we don’t dress up or celebrate Halloween at the preschool, we thought we’d have fun with a spirit week. The week of October 25th will be our
spirit week.
- Monday - Pajama Day
- Tuesday - Crazy Day…let your imagination run, crazy hair, crazy socks, crazy clothes
- Wednesday - Fall Theme Shirt Day (for M-Th/F Pre-K and Middlers). Sports Shirt Day for Early Beginners and MWF Pre-K
- Thursday - Hero Day
- Friday - Sports Shirt day for M-Th/F Pre-K and Middlers. Fall Theme Shirt day for Early Beginners and MWF Pre-K.

Pre-K class.
On Friday, October 29th our Early Beginners and MWF Pre-K class will have their party. Please be on the lookout out for signs ups and donation requests.
We are in need of paper towels, baby wipes and Lysol wipes.
This year we will be asking for donations for Operation Christmas Child. Each class tries to pack as many boxes as they can. The class that packs the most received a cookie party last year. Cash donations are also accepted, that helps defer the cost of mailing the boxes. Please be on the lookout for donation requests from your student’s teachers.

So far we are off to a great start in the Early Beginners class. We have been working on our alphabet and colors. We have also been learning about creation.
As fall begins we will be doing more letters, numbers
and crafts.
We will have a fun month!
God Bless,
Mrs. Johnson
Hello October! I am excited for fall to get going.
We will continue with our letters P, N, C & K
and the numbers 3 & 4. Our color this month is orange.
We will be closed on Monday, October 11th for
Columbus Day. School photos will be Monday,
October 18th. Happy Fall!
Thank you and God Bless,
Ms. Schroder
**Middler Parents: If your student attends MWF, and you feel like your student could use another day or two, we offer that. Tuition for the 4 day program is $200 per month, 5 day is $260 per month. Of course, we will continue to keep the
MWF option.
As the days get colder please pack a jacket for when we play outside. This month we will be working on letters, number, colors and shapes. With an added caramel apple tasting and exploring pumpkin guts and seeds. We will also try out the seeds once they are baked. We will have our fall party on October 29th. When it gets closer, be on the lookout for a message.
Happy October!!
Mrs. Southerland
As the saying goes, Happy Fall Y’all! September has been a great month and the kids are doing great in the classroom. As we continue to move forward with our letters and numbers, please be sure to reinforce what we are doing in the classroom at home also. Learning is a continuous thing and the more consistency the kids have with what we are learning, the quicker things will begin to click for them. Like I have said before, we are a TEAM working together for your child’s success.
As the temperatures continue to dip into some nice, but cooler, temperatures, please remember to pack light jackets for the kids. I would like to make sure they get outside to play whenever possible, but if it is on the chilly side and everyone doesn’t have a jacket, then it won’t be possible to go outside. I also tend to keep the classroom on the chilly side (there is always a window open), so having sweaters available in the classroom is also nice for when the kids get cold.
We will be having a spirit week the week of October 25th along with our Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 27th. Please be on the lookout mid-October for more information on that. Also, continue to look at Class Dojo. I post several updates on what we are doing in the classroom, but I also post lots of information for you as well. With the holidays approaching, we will be having lots of parties and signups will be through Class Dojo.
If you ever need anything from me, please do not hesitate to contact me through Class Dojo messaging. I may not always respond immediately, but I try to respond as soon as I can.
Many Blessings,
Mrs. Nowak
