Thanksgiving is essential to personal magnetism.
The famous stress researcher Hans Sayle claims that two attitudes more than any other influence the quality of everyday life, and on these two emotions “depend our peace of mind, our feelings of security or insecurity, of fulfillment or frustration, in short, the extent to which we can make success of life.”
The most destructive emotion is revenge. But in contrast, “among all the emotions, there is one which more than any other, accounts for the absence or presence of stress in human relations: that is the feeling of gratitude.”
In this confused and tumultuous world, marked by war, political division, social injustice and upheaval, bitter rivalries and moral failing, can you identify the things in your life for which you can be thankful? The more you can do precisely that, the more unlikely it is that you will be overcome by the stress and anxiety this life can cause.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:6-8)
It is impossible to be anxious and thankful at the same time.

Youth of SRBC (Grades 7th – 12th), Christ is the center of our Group, and we want you to Come hangout with us Sunday' evenings from 6 pm – 8 pm and bring your friends! What can you expect? We play games, eat snacks, pray for each other, share a few laughs, and dig into a Bible lesson and how it applies to us. Check us out, you'll find a space that you're welcome and appreciated. We will be intentional with pushing each other towards Christ.
Our Group and leadership team last month on Oct 14 had fun exploring Tom’s corn maze, paired with a bon fire and a lot of food, laughter and a few pairs of wet shoes. It was a fun outing for our group and friends.
There will be a Special Business meeting after the worship service on November 12.
The purpose of this meeting is to approve the 2024 church budget and slate of leaders that was presented to the congregation at the Quarterly Business Meeting.

It's almost time! Yes, it's almost time for SRBC's annual Children's Christmas program! It’s quickly approaching, and is scheduled for Sunday, December 10, at 7 pm! Please mark your calendars and join us!
All children ages 3 thru 6th grade at SRBC are invited to be a part of the 2022 Christmas Program! We’re practicing each Sunday during the Children's Church portion of the morning service. It is very important that your child be at as many practices as possible. It’s not too late to become a part of this program which will be performed Sunday Evening, December 10 at 7 pm, with refreshments to follow. For questions please contact Tere Sharp.

Here at SRBC we collect a Fellowship Offering on the 3rd Sunday of every month. This offering is used for emergency needs and financial assisstance for those in need. This has been a great ministry of our church through the years, and we just want to remind you that we are continuing to collect this offering. There is a basket marked Fellowship Fund on the communion table, or you may send in your offering specified as Fellowship Fund. We still focus on the offering on the 3rd Sunday, but you may give at any time.

AWANA MINUTE
We are off to an exciting start at SRBC’s Awana club. It’s not too late for kids to join AWANA for this club year. Awana is for children age 2 – 12th grade. We meet Wednesday nights from 6:05 – 7:30 PM. It’s a joyful time! Don’t miss the fun!
Wow, it’s November already, the trees are showing off their new colors and the leaves are beginning to decorate the ground. We are a busy club on Wednesday evenings. Our clubbers are busy learning, laughing, singing, and enjoying club. We’re in the season of Thanksgiving. With that said thank you to all who support our club thru prayer, encouragement, and faithfully showing up and helping the experience happen each week!
October was a busy month in the life of our club.
October 18 clubbers and leaders arrived eager to sport the self-generated hair styles and outfits in support of our theme “crazy hair/outfit night”. Having fun while Bible learning complete with prizes and yes, some interesting hair do’s and outfits.
the 25th kicked off our pantry nights as clubbers are bringing in nonperishable food items to help restock our church’s food pantry. We also enjoyed parties, fun and food for our Harvest Party night.
November will focus on giving, clubbers can fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas child, and continue bringing in non-perishable food items to give love and food to the needy in our Church, neighborhood, and community for the holidays.
There will be NO club Wednesday, November 22 a time that we should all: slow down and celebrate with our family and friends. Club will resume Wednesday, November 29, where we will also open the 1st Awana store of the year for clubbers to get their “Shop On”!
We are grateful that our church supports Awana as we can see God working in clubbers lives. Thank you to all who help clubbers learn God’s word, so they can hide it in their hearts and apply it to their daily lives!
We ask that you continue to partner with us by praying for everyone involved in club and that we’ll reach clubbers and their families through the teaching and memorization of God's Word, and for future clubbers.
Thank-you for your continued support in this ministry!
