Isaiah 11:6-9
Children who made a difference
1. Naaman's servant girl (II Kings 5)
It took a little girl to bring deliverance and healing to Naaman.
It took a little girl to have the knowledge of God's power.
2. King Joash (II Kings 11)
Because of the presence of a seven-year-old child, vitality returned to the land.
3. Maher-Shallal-Hash-baz (Isaiah 7)
This child was a sign that God's Word is valid.
This child was a sign that there would be great changes in the political structure of the countries surrounding
Judah.
Trust in God is all that is really necessary to deal with whatever life may hand your way.
4. Jesus
This sign-child, from the house of David, will establish a kingdom which shall last forever.
This tender shoot, would be the redeemer of mankind who will rule His people with perfect justice and power.
Applications to us
1. Make yourselves open to those unexpected ways that God wants to work in your life.
2. Understand the regard and respect that we should have for children.
