Feeding of the 5,000 teaches us about the nature and character of our heavenly Father.
1. He is a God of compassion. (14)
He is compassionate because of who He is, not because of who you are.
When you hurt, He cares.
2. He is a God of miracles. (19-20)
It was a miracle of creation.
When you take what little you have, and offer it to God, then our God of miracles promises to supply your needs.
3. He is a God of abundance. (20)
(John 10:10)
There is a difference between abundance and extravagance.
Abundance is not so much about quantity as it is quality.
Whatever God gives you will be enough.
This is about the abundance of God in your life.
Living the Christian life isn't about just surviving, it's about thriving.
