II Corinthians 5:1-5
The only reason there is death is because of our sin. (Rom. 6:23; 5:12, Heb. 9:27)
For the Christian, the final score is: Death Loses!
How we know: The Holy Spirit is the pledge of the eternal life that is to come.
Ways God demonstrated:
1. Translation- moving from one kind of existence to another. (Genesis 5:21-24)
The only person to be translated like Enoch was Elijah.
2. Resurrection- the heart of the gospel likes in the fact that Jesus was raised from the dead, never to die again. (II Corinthians 5:21; Romans 1:4; I Corinthians 15:14, 17, 20)
3. Rapture - the bodies of Christians who have not died will still need to be changed (I Corinthians 15:51;
I Thessalonians 4:13-17)
