Exhortation (to buy three things) (18-19) 1. gold refined in the fire (I Peter 1:7) faith which only Christ can give. 2. white clothes to wear- His righteousness, not our own 3. ointment for our eyes- illumination of truth vs. 20 Christ is pleading for people who are already Christians to open their heart's door to Him. Unwavering faith Exhortation- Keep up the good work. Opportunity and Opposition go hand in hand. Promises 1. to humble their enemies and open their eyes up to the truth. New name representative of our character (12) New names 1. name of God 2. name of the city of God 3. name no one knows Jesus has an open door for you. |
