Hebrews 11:13-16
1. God's people have always been a pilgrim people.
We are strangers in a foreign land, looking for a better country.
Some Christians just blend in to the culture of the world.
2. If we wish to reach the ultimate goal, we must keep on in the journey. (Heb. 11:1; 13, 4:1-2; 10:39)
Faith is not just believing in God, but believing God.
Faith and faithfulness are never separated in biblical thought.
3. All of the resources that are necessary for the journey are made available to us.
a. priesthood
b. sacrifices
c. leadership
d. miracles
(Hebrews 2:3-4)
Everything God did for the Jews in the wilderness, He has done for us in Christ.
