Galatians 4:4-7
1. It's about the Advent of the Savior. (4)
a. We see His divine origin. (John 1:1; 17:5, I Peter 1:20; Phil. 2:6-8)
b. We understand His full humanity. (Gen. 3:15; Matt. 5:17; Rom. 2:14-15)
2. It's about the Acceptance of sinners. (5)
a. to redeem those under the law. (Rom. 3:1-2, 9:4)
b. At the same time being under the law is a blessing, it is also a curse. (Rom. 3:19; Gal. 3:13; Is. 53:4-6)
Being under the law of God means that we are accountable for our sins.
That's why we need to have Christmas.
3. It's about the Assurance of the Spirit. (6)
a. The role of the Holy Spirit is an essential part of Christmas that we don't often think about.
b. Just as the divine took on human flesh when God sent His Son, so the divine comes into our lives when we receive Jesus as our Savior.
“Abba” is the word describing our personal relationship with God.
