Principles of Raising Children
1. Example: Hannah
Principle: Dedicate them to the Lord.
a. acknowledge God as the source of your blessing.
The best things we can give to our children are not things.
b. When you are possessive of an individual, it's hard to determine whether you are seeking God's will or your own will.
2. Example: Lois and Eunice (II Timothy 1:5)
Principle: Pass on a Christian heritage.
a. Parents must talk about the Lord to their children.
b. Share the Scriptures. (II Timothy 3:14-15)
c. Set an example.
3. Example: Mary
Principle: Treasure them in your heart.
Kids need to know you treasure them just because of who they are.
