Andrew's qualities of discipleship
1. Spiritual sensitivity
His baptism was a symbol of repentance.
Your baptism is a symbol of salvation.
similarities
a. must recognize own sinfulness and ask for forgiveness
b. must believe the message in order to submit to baptism.
2. Willingness to share Christ
Andrew went to one he loved, and told him what happened to him.
John 12:20-22 - Philip went to Andrew. Andrew went to Jesus.
3. Humility
Andrew is left in the background.
4. Absolute trust in Jesus.
John 6:8- He trusted Christ enough to bring him these scraps of food.
Do you trust Him enough to just leave the matter in His hands?
