1. Self-denial means focusing more on Christ than you focus on yourself.
Romans 12:1 – concentrate more on presenting yourself rather than restraining yourself.
2. Self-control is not confining. It is liberating.
Gaining control is a part of growing in the Lord.
It takes practice and training.
I Corinthians 9:25- Our spiritual training is geared toward a crown that will last forever.

Ultimately, only your divine Counselor, the Holy Spirit, can teach you self-control.
