A righteous man is cautious in friendship. (12:26)
1. A Friend Hurts When You Hurt. (17:17)
A friend shows love not only when something bad has happened, but also when he has messed up and is
hurting because of that. (Job 6:14)
2. A Friend Will Say What Needs to Be Said.
Those words can be delivered in a way that the intention is clear that you want to help, and not hurt.
(27:6) “An enemy multiplies kisses"
Usually, what needs to be said to a friend are positive things. (27:9)
3. A Friend Will Bring Out the Best in You. (22:24)
We tend to act like the people we associate with. (I Corinthians 15:33)
Whoever you bring into your inner circle will have an influence on your life. (27:17, 13:20)
a. Seek out people to share your life with.
b. Examine the kind of friend you are to others.
