Hebrews 12:14-17
1. Division (14)
Division and strife have a way of making us forget all the positive things we have in our lives.
Making every effort to live at peace comes down to being the one to take initiative.
2. Worldliness (14)
If you don't pursue holiness, then it is only natural that worldliness will start to permeate your life.
You can choose to limit the worldly influences and increase the godly influences.
3. Bitterness (15)
A poisonous weed starts below the surface, and soon infiltrates the entire garden.
Two things happening
a. that person is missing the grace of God
b. it causes trouble and defiles many.
4. Sensual Pleasures (16)
These things keep us from thinking and caring and dealing with things that really matter.
We are slaves to Esau's stomach and allow what is sensual and temporary to dominate our lives.
5. Inattention (25)
If we just make Him a secondary thought, how can that help but to corrode our faith?
