I John 2:15-17
“Sleep” is a symbolic reference to “not working.”
While we are not saved by works, we are saved to work.
2. Do not love the world. (I John 2:15-17)
“world”- system of functioning and thinking based on the earthly and physical dimensions of creation.
You can't love God and the world at the same time.
You can tell what kingdom you are a citizen of, not by where you live, but by how you live.
3. Do not love money. (I Timothy 6:10)
You can love money, even if you don't have any.
The love of money make you think only of yourself and what your money can do for you.
If you love sleep, you are going to be wasting your time.
If you love the world, you are going to be wasting your talent.
If you love money, you are going to be wasting your treasure.
