Romans 8:26-32
Two erroneous views of God
1. Sugar daddy everybody has always wanted
2. the ultimate kill-joy.
Four ways God is on our side
1. He prays for us (vs. 26)
The Holy Spirit prays in a language the Father perfectly understands. (vs 27)
When you are not sure how to pray, pray anyway.
2. God always does what is best for us. (vs. 28)
God can make good things happen that never would have happened were it not for the difficult circumstance.
Deut. 23:5- the Lord turned the curse into blessing because the Lord your God loves you!
3. He gives us a clean slate. (vs. 30)
God gives us a new chance every day to serve Him, worship Him, honor Him. (I John 1:9)
4. He gives us whatever we need. (vs. 32)
God knows what we need, more than we know ourselves. (Philippians 4:19)
