II Timothy 2:20-21
In several ways, death is like a graduation.
For those who know the Lord, death is simply a new beginning.
Preparing for the new beginning
1. Balanced approach to learning
Theory and practical experience are necessary for a balanced approach to discipleship. (Romans 10:1-3,
Phil 4:9)
2. Going to class
When trials come into your life, you will be glad you have the background that going to church every
Sunday will give you. (Hebrews 10:24)
3. Using a reference center
The Bible is a wealth of resources. (Psalms 119:97-105)
4. Taking tests.
Psalms 26:2 “.....examine my heart and mind.”
I Corinthians 3:13 “each man's work will be shown for what it is...”
II Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith.....”
James 1:2 “...the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”
I Peter 1:7 “trial have come so that your faith.......may be proved genuine.......”
To enroll in the Christian life, you don't have to achieve anything.
God has offered you acceptance into His kingdom.
