Mediation is simply a deeper form of prayer.
Elements of meditation
1. Attachment (1-2)
Other religions teach that we should get to the place where we want nothing.
The Bible teaches that we should get to the place where we want nothing but God.
We begin by detaching ourselves from the world.
We continue by attaching ourselves to God.
2. Expectation (3-4)
When we meditate, we are seeking the face of God, not the hand of God.
It means we have submitted ourselves to His timetable.
3. Silence (5)
To hear from the Lord, we have to get rid of all the other noises out there, not just actual,
but inner.
Mediation is a marathon, not a hundred-yard dash.
