The Christmas story is incomplete without the proclamation of the gospel.
Four ways the birth of Christ was a foreshadowing of His death.
1. The way He was born
The Christ-Child rejected is also the God-Man rejected because of the sins of the world.
2. Circumcision and Presentation
Even as an eight day old infant, Jesus began the process of becoming our sin by cleansing us through
the shedding of His blood.
Mary offered the very Lamb of God, who would replace the entire sacrificial system of offering an
unblemished lamb to appease the wrath of God toward sin.
3. Testimony of Simeon
Death is no longer something to fear, but it is actually something to gain.
4. Words to Mary
With the cradle belongs the cross.
