II Corinthians 1:20-24
1. The promises of God give us Illumination, which helps us to endure. (Hebrews 10:32, 36)
You can keep digging through the tunnel when you know there is light at the end of it.
2. The promises of God give us Imagination, which helps us to trust. (Matthew 17:20)
We are given a new mental and spiritual concept of what God can do.
3. The promises of God give us Inspiration, which helps us to be joyful.
a. When God gave His promises, He breathed life into us.
b. When inspired by something, we are made to feel excited or joyful.
4. The promises of God make us Involved, which helps us to be interested in the Lord's work.
God offered these promises: that's called grace.
We believe and receive the promises: that's called faith.
We get involved in the Lord's work: that's called works.
Ephesians 2:8-10
5. The promises of God give us an Inheritance, which helps us to be patient. (Hebrews 6:10-18)
If you have received Jesus, you have been named in God's will.
