1. He comes to us in disguise. (1)
a. He is disguised in his person.
He comes as an angel of light.
b. He is disguised in his purposes
You can misuse the doctrine of grace.
You can misuse the doctrine of sovereignty.
c. He disguises the point.
Satan shifts the focus to the one thing you want so desperately, you'll do anything to get it.
2. He attacks God's Word. (4)
God knows the devastation that sin can have in your life.
3. He attacks God's character. (5)
You doubt God's Word because you really doubt God's goodness.
When you get God out of your life, what was once out-of-bounds to you becomes the thing you desire, and that the thing that will destroy you.
Christianity is not mere morality, it is a relationship with the God who loves you.
Sin is dangerous because it hurts our understanding of God.
