God's perspective
1. Blood is a symbol of life.
It was the blood of the offering that made the atonement.
2. Christ's blood is the difference between payment being made and forgiveness
being extended.
The Old Testament and the New Testament are the covenants that God drew up to designate who His heirs are, and what they are to receive. (16)
Requirements of the blood sacrifice
1. The blood had to flow.
2. The blood had to be applied. (18-22)
There has to be a personal response to what Christ has done for you.
Blood is a cleansing agent. (14)
The blood of the new covenant is far superior to the blood of the old covenant. (24-28)
