more.
2. When our hearts are focused on ourselves, we make plans, but leave God out. (17-18)
problem: there is no thought of sharing his abundance
What He has blessed us with is not ours to own.
3. When our hearts are focused on ourselves, we consider spending our resources only on ourselves. (19)
He expected to control the fate of future crops.
James 4:13-16
When we make our plans, we must do so from the perspective that God is in charge.
4. When our hearts are focused on ourselves, we store our treasure in the wrong places. (20)
Greed is the logical result of the belief that there is no life after death.
Ecclesiastes 2:21-23
5. When our hearts are focused on ourselves, we will find ourselves in conflict with God's plans for our lives. (21)
Riches have no purchasing power after death.
We need to get past the idea that we always have to have a cushion.
