1. Impatience (I Samuel 13:5-14)
Impatience is relinquishing God's control in your life.
Impatience leads to pride, which leads to self-will, which leads to a rash act.
2. Doubt (I Samuel 15:1-3, 9-11, 16-22, 35)
Doubt leads to self-reliance, which leads to direct disobedience, which leads to excuses.
3. Jealousy (I Samuel 18)
Jealousy leads to bitterness, which leads to acts of malice, which leads to utter hatred.
4. Fear (I Samuel 28)
Saul's fear led to spiritism, which is the rejection of the power of the Holy Spirit.
If there is any power to witchcraft, it comes from demons.
That power can be comforting to those who are afraid and need to feel control over something in their lives.
