Luke 17:11-19
There is a difference between gratitude that comes from obligation, and the joy of a thankful heart.
The tenth man was made well in a way that the other nine were not.
The benefits of a thankful heart.
1. You are better equipped to combat the philosophies and mindsets that are contrary to Christ. (Col. 2:6-8)
Romans 1:21- there is a connection between the depraved mind and a lack of thankfulness.
2. It gives you assurance of being in the will of God. (I Thess. 5:18)
Why would you do anything God doesn't want you to do?
Because you think you have a better idea.
Phil. 4:6-7
3. It gives you discernment between good and evil. (I Tim. 4:1-5)
If you are able to receive something with thanksgiving, that can be confirmation that something is from
the Lord.
