Jeremiah 18:1-10
God's desire is always that we be made over into a useful vessel.
1. The clay was of very little material value.
God values us, even in our unfulfilled condition.
2. Before the clay could be used, it had to be weathered. Then it would be mixed with water.
To use us, God puts His Holy Spirit in us.
God uses what we've been through to make us what He wants us to be.
3. For hours, the potter would knead the clay.
God has to remove the blemishes from our lives.
4. “throwing” the clay
God made a way for us to be perfect, even though we are flawed.
5. Excess clay would be pared off.
We need to be continually sanctified.
6. “firing” the clay
We all go through the judgment.
Romans 9:18-24- The purpose of a finished piece of pottery is to be usable for something.
