Hebrews 1:1-5
Demonstration of Christ's pre-existence

Jesus was present and active in the creation of the universe.

(Hebrews 1:5; 5:5- quote from Psalm 2:7 “Today, I have become Your Father.”
Hebrews 7:3, John 8:58- “Before Abraham was born, I Am.” (John 1:18)
3. His heavenly origin
Hebrews 10:5- “a body prepared for Me” (John 3:31, 6:33)
Connection to Christmas
1. Essential element of the doctrine of the virgin birth
The only way for God to become man was by miraculous conception.
2. Jesus emptied Himself when He took the form of man.
Before He was even born, Jesus made the choice to obey.
