Micah 6:6-8
As soon as we start to gloat over the downfall of someone else, we could find ourselves in the same boat.
Micah wanted Judah to see that they were going to be next.
The injustices of Judah
1. Land Mongering (2:2-3)
In ancient Hebrew economy, property belonged to the Lord.
The people were simply stewards of it.
There is tremendous gospel in the Year of Jubilee.
2. False Prophets (2:6-7; 3:1-4)
God's judgment is not something to just dismiss.
God judges to lead us to repentance and restoration and hope.
No matter how hard we try, we need a Savior!
Micah's message: All God has done is geared toward the end of the coming of this Messiah.
His challenge: to act justly
to love mercy
to walk humbly
