Acts 4:5-12

1. The first concept to be addressed is the problem of sin.
The God of the Bible defines sin as breaking His rules of conduct.
In the question of what is sin and what is not, people want to play by “house rules.”
2. The second concept is God's holiness.
When sin is introduced into God's presence, He reacts according to His nature.
3. THEN, we can look at His love and how that causes Him to counter the wrath that our sin provokes in Him.
The legislator who wrote the law is the same as the judge who pronounced the sentence.
Rather than dismiss our sin, He assumes our sin.
God does what we cannot do, so we can be what we dare not dream- perfect before God.
The primary mission of Jesus was to live in such a way that satisfied God's standard of holiness and died
so that God might remove our sin.
