John 6:35-40
1. Come and rest. (Mark 6:30; Matthew 11:28)
The principle of rest has always meant more than just rest from labor.
Heaven is our Sabbath rest. (Hebrews 4:1-11)
2. Come and see. (Psalms 46:8; 66:5)
All you have to do is look and you can see there is a God. (Romans 1:18-21)
Come and see that the testimonies of what God has done through His people speak volumes more than the hypocrisy of their occasional lapses.
3. Come and partake. (Isaiah 55:1; John 7:37)
This is talking about spiritual refreshment and fulfillment.
Don't just come to church and think that you're involved.
4. Come and follow. (Matthew 4:19)
It's about your relationship to Christ, not your obligation to Him.
5. Come and inherit. (Matthew 25:31-34)
God says He wants to make us heirs of His kingdom.
Among the very last words of Scripture are words of invitation. (Revelation 22:17)
